MMI Names Corporate Director of Business Development
Robert C. Glassen, P.G., has joined Morrison-Maierle’s leadership team as the Corporate Director of Business Development. Bob draws upon over 25 years’
experience in technical consulting and business development to work with the C
hief Marketing Officer in overseeing business development and client service activities.
Most recently, Bob was with the firm MBDi, a management consulting company
specializing in business development management and training. Previously, he has held senior positions in professional engineering and environmental consulting firms in both marketing and technical roles. These include Managing Principal-In-Charge of Carolina Operations with Dames & Moore geotechnical engineers; Vice President and General Manager with Ogden Environmental in Oak Ridge, Tennessee; Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Steffen Robertson and Kirsten in Denver, Colorado; and Manager, Southern Region with OHM (now IT Corp.). Under special contract with the Government of Ontario, Canada, he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing to a start-up technologies company that took 400 scientists and engineers from a government-based energy company into a successful private technologies company.
Bob holds an M.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in Geology from Villanova University and has completed post-graduate work in
Geology at Florida State University. He is a Registered Professional Geologist and has been active in natural resource issues in the private and legislative forums. His
professional activities have included hazardous waste remediation, spill prevention
control, discharge permitting, water system vulnerability assessment, and marine geology in many states and territories of the United States.
